Wolfberry (Lycium barbarum/chinense) also known as Goji Berry or Lycium berry has been long touted as one of nature's most nutrient-rich natural food.
This crimson coloured fruit has long played important roles in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Wolfberry is reputed to enhance immune system function improve eyesight protect the liver boost sperm production and improve circulation among other effects.
In TCM terms wolfberry promotes good health in the liver lung and kidney channels and enrich yin. They can be eaten dried consumed as juice or wine brewed into a tea or prepared as a tincture. Wolfberry contains a wide range of nutrients: Vitamins B1 B2 B6 C and E amino acids trace minerals such as zinc iron copper selenium phosporus and calcium.
Goji berry has a light herby-caramel-carrot taste. Perfect cup for anyone do a lot of computer work. Can be eaten dried like raisins (similar size to raisin as well).
