Herb Teas for Busy Moms

If you are a busy mom, having a cup of herb tea is a great way to relax. I remember when my children were small. I was working as a nurse, going to school, and raising young children.

Needless to say, I had no time for myself and always felt tired, rushed and exhausted.
We had a speaker come to the hospital where I worked. He said that if we were to care for others that we must care for ourselves first. We were given an assignment to figure out how to do that.

Like most of the other moms, I was at a loss.

I then recalled how much I loved having a cup of good tea. I purchased a box of tea. It was reasonably priced and delicious.

I began sitting for fifteen minutes after work each day, enjoying my tea.
Looking back it seems like a small thing, but initially, it seemed impossible. I know this is a trite expression, but enjoying the tea, simply sitting, and taking a break really changed my life.

Here are some of the best teas that I know of for busy moms.

Organic Chamomile

Organic Chamomile

Chamomile reduces stress, aches and pains. The effects are more potent when chamomile is consumed on a regular basis.

Chamomile soothes a nervous or tense stomach. You can even use it to comfort teething and colicky babies.

If you are breastfeeding, the healing benefits are transferred to your baby in your milk.

Peppermint

Peppermint

Peppermint is an herbal stimulant.

If you are tired or have a dull task to do, drink some peppermint tea.

It is great hot or cold. You can even bring some to work in a thermal bottle.

It will wake you up and help you to focus.

Unlike teas which contain caffeine, peppermint tea is caffeine free; hence it does not promote a jittery you. It soothes the stomach and relieves stress headaches.

After Lunch

After Lunch

If you prefer an herbal blend, I recommend “After Lunch”.

It contains ginseng which has been used for centuries to deeply nourish and build up energy levels.

After Lunch is a delicious lemony blend which eliminates “brain fog” and invigorates your entire body. There are many herbal teas which offer health benefits. Choose one or a variety of teas to suit your needs and mood.

So go ahead. Take a break. Whether you need to relax or increase your energy, herb teas can provide busy moms with much needed relief.
