Can I get teas in bigger volume than 60g shown in the website?

As tea tastes the best when it is consumed within 6 months after opening (tea absorbs smell and moisture from its environment), we think the small size bags are most suited for general consumption hence most of our tea comes in 60g bags, which can make about 20 cups (about 3g/1 teaspoon per cup).

For the more ‘avid’ tea drinkers, we now have a selected range of products that comes in larger bags such as 250g. We also offer a lot of samplers (eg 15g x 5 kinds) if you fancy trying something different.


Can I get xxx tea in teabags ?

Our specialty is loose leaf tea. Though we don't sell teabagged tea, we do sell a range of easy to use empty tea bags as well as infusers and filters. You can find them in the teaware / filters & teabags section


I want to send tea to my friend for her birthday. Do you giftwrap?

Share tea with your friends and family! At the moment we only offer small giftcards (which can be found in the Yummies and More section) and some samplers with a gold box option. Occasionally we have some small tea gift sets so be sure to check out the Samplers / Gift Packs section.

We are happy to add a nicely handwritten message on the giftcard or your packing slip. The packing slip we send out with all retail orders do not show prices.


How safe is my purchase over the internet?

Online payment, contrary to the media hype, is a fairly secure way to pay (safer than giving away your visa number to anyone on the other side of the phone...)

We use Eway Payment Gateway (www.eway.com.au) as our ecommerce payment gateway supplier. Every payment made on www.teas.com.au is fully secured by using Eway’s high level encryption technology.

When the ‘Confirm Order’ button is pressed, it will take our secure page where you will enter your credit (or debit) card details. Your bank authorises or declines the transaction and notifies Eway, who in turn will show you the transaction result. This process takes place in real-time while you wait – typically takes 3-6 seconds.

Upon card transaction approval, you will be sent an order receipt.

Eway uses 128 bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and the Australian banking industry standard encryption to provide high level security to protect by your and our credit card payment data.

The pages you are entering your card details starts with the path (URL) https:// instead of http://. This indicates you are in a secure page and your information has been encrypted.

 

What are your delivery charges?

  1. Your chosen shipping method (Australia Post / Express Post or others for international order)
  2. Total order value
  3. Total order gross weight or cubic weight, whichever is greater.

Can I order using phone or fax?

Yes, we welcome phone and fax orders between office hours 9.30am to 4.30pm EST Monday to Friday except public holidays. However, we take priority in processing online (internet) orders.

If you have ganged up a bunch of tea requests from friends and family and would like to place a large order, you are welcome to email us the list of products you would like to purchase and we can put together the order for you. It is easy!


What payment options do I have?

We prefer your payment by visa or mastercard*. You can also pay by direct deposit (bank details shown at the end of the purchasing process, on the order receipt), Post Office Money Order (if your order is over $40.00)
PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH OR CHEQUE!

Any order that is to be paid by direct deposit / Post Office Money Order and we have not received payment after 2 weeks will be cancelled (we typically send 2 reminders within this period) .

*If you are paying by visa or mastercard, you can choose to call us with your credit card details if preferred. You will be billed by Empiro Pty Ltd. ABN 32106826322.

 

How can I check where my order is at?

Once you have finished checkout, there will be an order receipt emailled to you. You can also log in and go to "Membership" section to see where your order is at.

A shipping confirmation email will be sent to you once the order has been shipped.

 

How long does it take for my order to be processed and delivered?

We endeavour to process your order AND dispatch within 1-2 working days. Any products that you can order means we have stock. If there are any exceptional reason causes us to delay dispatching your order (such as we are waiting for extra instructions from you), we will let you know as soon as practicable.

Please factor in typical timeframe for the delivery method you have chosen to deliver your shipping address, dispatching from Sydney.

 

Can I pick up the order from your office?

The short answer is no –we are an online business. Besides, why would you want to waste petrol and roam around busy Sydney streets and look for parking, when we can deliver to your doorsteps!


Do you ship outside Australia?

Yes – only these countries below. Minimum order $20.00 Australian dollars. We charge a flat rate of AUD30.00 for postage and handling for orders up to 0.5 kg, sent by registered airmail.

For orders over 0.5 kg, please email us the item(s) you would like to order and your shipping address – we will be happy to supply you a quote. All shipments heading overseas will be sent via registered airmail unless specified by you otherwise.

You are responsible for any local import duties, taxes charged by your country. Once your payment has been cleared, please allow 14 working days for the order to arrive. We do not take responsibility for any delays / extra cost in your country caused by the customs department.


What is your order cancellation and goods return policy?

All sales are final. We do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision.

We only accept return of the non-tea/food item sent to you by mistake. Goods has to be returned in its original, resaleable condition with all of its packaging materials. Before returning goods that meets the above condition, please contact us with your purchase details including the order number (00xxxx) and we will provide you with information on how to return the item at no charge to you.

Will my personal details from your database be used outside www.teas.com.au?

No. We respect the importance of maintaining the privacy of our customers. We do NOT sell, trade, or give away any information we collect from our members. We welcome your feedback concerning our privacy policy. Please us our contact us form to send your comments and questions .

We require your email address to send you the email order confirmation and shipping confirmation; and your phone number just in case we need to contact you about your order and you're unreachable by email (eg your email address was not entered correctly).

We source tea and tea accessories from all over the world (sorry but no branded tea) and loose leaf quality tea is our specialty. So if you’re looking for something specific, let us know. If there is sufficient demand for it, we’ll try to track it down!
